Kevin
and Judy Jamieson are the husband-and-wife dynamite duo behind CAPE
COD CHEF ON CALL. They have owned and operated their personal chef
service since 1999.
Kevin shares,"My Grandmother started me out with scaling stripers,
blue fish and cod at the age of 8."
That was almost 30 summers ago in the kitchen at the Captains Table
in Chatham, Massachusetts. As the great-grandson of the original
owners of the Chatham Wayside Inn, Kevin admits that cooking runs
through his veins on both sides of the family.
His cooking career sent him to Washington, D.C. where he worked
for the family-owned L'Auberge Chez Francois. His ability to prepare
fine classic French-German cuisine, known as Alsatian cooking, blossomed
as he apprenticed for eight years under the tutelage of well-known
cookbook author and restauranteur, Chef Francois R. Haeringer.
Upon
his return to New England, Chef Jamieson worked as chef for High
Brewster in Brewster, Massachusetts, an intimate 50-seat dining
room where he prepared all aspects of beef, poultry, lamb and seafood
for upscale dining. Kevin is also a former chef from The Impudent
Oyster in Chatham, MA.
Judy Jamieson, after receiving her teaching certificate, attended
Johnson & Wales Culinary Culinary Program. She is an events
planner and administrator, and her specialty is in designing elegant
platters for weddings and banquets. Her passion for good food, combined
with 15 years experience working with the public in organizational
and managerial roles, provides just the right professional touch
to CAPE COD CHEF ON CALL.
